Communities Foundation of Texas

Since 1953, we’ve worked side by side with caring donors, committed nonprofits, philanthropy-focused businesses, and civic leaders to help build thriving communities for all. We work to meet our mission by: -Providing giving opportunities through charitable and legacy planning and consulting for individuals, families, nonprofits, and businesses. -Grantmaking, engaging, and informing our community around key issues. -Increasing academic achievement and educational equity for all students in Texas, especially those in Black, Latinx, and economically disadvantaged communities. -Developing and sharing knowledge and expertise on community needs and resources. At CFT, we believe that a thriving community is one in which all people feel cared for, invested in, nourished, and valued, and have an equitable opportunity to contribute to the well-being and growth of themselves, their families, and their communities.
