After developing Alys Beach for 10 years, Jason Comer decided it was time to start his own business. EBSCO Industries, Inc. (the parent company of Alys Beach) was founded by Jason’s grandfather, Elton B. Stephens. So, leaving the family business and starting Comer Companies from scratch was a pivotal life decision. Comer Companies was founded in 2012. Today, we are a diversified mix of businesses and investments. We own 100% of two operating businesses, The Big Chill and Trusy Social. We also have outstanding investment partnerships with private equity firms and one San Francisco-based Venture Capital firm. We are also working on partnerships to build out a real estate portfolio. We are primarily focused on building great cultures with great people where our founders, managers, and their teams thrive. We put our customers first, but we are only able to do that because we put our people first.
