This segment of the economy is known as FinTech. We believe that financial technology requires sector-dedicated investors to help drive value for emerging, high-growth companies that operate in this rapidly changing segment of the economy. The Clipper Ship team has extensive experience in working with technology companies that serve payments, banking, trading, wealth management, insurance, benefits, human resources, and other sectors of financial and business services. Unlike other private equity firms, we focus on a small number of investments per year. This approach enables us to provide our portfolio companies with a greater level of attention and assistance, and create a better alignment of interests with our investors. Investment Criteria ▪ Sector: Financial and business services sectors, and technology solutions for those sectors. ▪ Deal Size: $3 to 10 million ▪ Revenues: $2 to 20 million in revenue ▪ EBITDA: Near cash flow breakeven to profitability ▪ Geography: Prefer North America. ▪ Transaction Types: We are agnostic about transaction type. We will make growth capital, buyouts, direct secondary, and restructuring investments. We welcome atypical transaction situations.
