City of Berea Business Grant Programs

The City of Berea has developed several innovative grant programs to assist businesses with: -Building Improvements. -Digital Marketing. -Exterior Signage. -Rent Reimbursement. -Sustainability Consulting. Grant programs are limited to businesses which are operating within the City of Berea. In order to establish that a business is operating in the City of Berea, businesses may be required to submit forms from the Regional Income Tax Authority (RITA) demonstrating that business tax or payroll tax is paid to the City of Berea. Owners of commercial properties which do not operate a business in Berea are not eligible to apply for grant programs. If an applicant has any ownership interest in more than one business operating in Berea, only one business is eligible to apply for grant programs. At the time of filing a Grant Application, ALL of the following documents MUST be submitted: • Completed Grant Application (ALL questions on the Grant Application MUST be answered). • Occupancy Permit issued by the City of Berea Building Department. • Business Plan or Marketing Plan. • Estimated Cost (if applying for Rent Reimbursement, the Estimated Cost is the yearly rent amount). • Any other documents required for a specific grant, please see Program Descriptions for details.
