Chris Upham, Angel Investor

Senior financial executive with 20 years of professional experience. Initially trained with Deloitte & Touche as a Chartered Accountant in audit and transitioned into financial advisory while working towards becoming a CFA Charter holder. Worked in and eventually managed the Commercial Investments team at Emera, responsible for strategic plan modeling as well as evaluating buy-side opportunities, including greenfield renewable projects, unregulated generation assets, and utility acquisitions. For the past 10 years, I have acted as CFO for an acquisitive group of companies in the utility services business where we have worked to help connect First Nations communities to the grid in Northern Ontario, connect Nova Scotians to clean Newfoundland Hydropower via the Maritime Link, and connect large scale renewable energy projects to the grid both in Atlantic Canada and Ontario. I enjoy entrepreneurship, business, finance, mergers & acquisitions, start-up investing, and public company investing.
