Chris Dixon is an angel investor who has made over thirty investments targeting artificial intelligence, web3, crypto infrastructure, and simulation technology. Recent portfolio placements include Canonical, Rescale, MyVR, and Circulate. His historical financing activity spans seed, Series A, Series B, and venture capital rounds. Total capital raised in rounds with his participation has reached upwards of $32 million for Rescale and $25 million for Redbeard Ventures. Chris currently serves as Founder and Managing Partner of a16z crypto, leading the unit for eight years, and has been a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz for over thirteen years. Earlier in his career, he co-founded SiteAdvisor, Hunch, and the seed investment firm Founder Collective.
