Catalyst by Wellstar

Catalyst by Wellstar is the first-of-its-kind innovation company and venture firm created in 2021 by one of the largest health systems in Georgia. Based in Atlanta, it transforms healthcare for good by partnering across industries to fund, build, and launch better healthcare solutions, backed by a $100 million venture fund launched in 2023. Beyond direct investing, Catalyst builds and launches its own healthcare startups in-house, runs healthcare innovation pilots within Wellstar's system, and operates "Catalyst Voice," a consumer panel of over 160,000 patients, caregivers, and health experts providing real-world feedback on new solutions. Its strategic focus spans health-tech, data and cybersecurity, future of work, customer experience, supply chain and mobility, and sustainability, reflecting a belief that not all healthcare problems require healthcare-only solutions. Notable investments include 410 Medical, Marani Health, Vyv, MetaCX, and Mae, alongside in-house venture Polysight, out of 25 direct investments and 23 innovation pilots to date.
