Campus Founders Fund

About Campus Founders Fund

Campus Founders Fund is a highly unique student-run pre-seed venture capital fund — the first entirely student-managed VC fund in Utah. The fund is managed entirely by students and sponsored by Kickstart, the most active pre-seed and seed VC in the Mountain West. The students on the CFF team source, analyze, and execute all of the fund's deals, while Kickstart provides financial backing and ongoing training and coaching but is not involved in day-to-day operations or investment decisions. CFF invests $10–50K in student-run businesses on an uncapped SAFE, or participates in the syndicate of a priced round, targeting student-founders and recent graduates across Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and surrounding Mountain West states. To date, CFF has deployed over $900,000 across more than 50 university-based startups, which have gone on to raise over $130M in additional funding — with alumni companies going on to raise from top-tier investors including Y Combinator, General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins, and Techstars.
