Calvin French-Owen is the Co-Founder and former CTO of Segment, a customer data platform that simplifies how businesses collect and distribute customer data across tools and services. He more recently served as an engineering lead at OpenAI, where he contributed to launching AI coding tools like Codex. He now works as a Builder at calv.info, a personal website where he shares his writing, programming insights, and startup lessons. Calvin is also an angel investor. He has backed Tesseral in its Seed round, a company focused on transforming spatial data workflows, and has made more than 20 seed-stage investments in emerging startups over recent years.
