Brett Hurt is the CEO and co-founder of data.world, an Austin-based Certified B Corporation and public benefit corporation. data.world makes it easy for everyone—not just the "data people"—to get clear, accurate, fast answers to any business question. He is also an angel investor and co-owner of Hurt Family Investments alongside his wife. HFI is involved in 135 startups, 42 VC funds, and multiple philanthropic endeavors. The areas of interest are in the SaaS and technology industries. As an angel investor, he has invested in over 20 firms, primarily in the pre-seed, seed, and early series funding rounds. Some of his investments are in Tso Chinese Takeout, Pani Systems, Ladder, Ender, and MakerSights.
