About Brent Grinna, Angel Investor

As the Founder and CEO of EverTrue, I lead the transformation of donor engagement by delivering the premier donor experience software platform for higher education, K-12, and nonprofit fundraising. Our work has been focused on bridging the technology gap between the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, ensuring more students have access to education and institutions thrive in a digital-first world. I began my career in investment banking and private equity at William Blair & Company and Madison Dearborn Partners in Chicago. After earning my MBA with honors from Harvard Business School, I founded EverTrue. In addition to my role at EverTrue, I have served as a Founding Advisor to Drizly, helping guide its early funding and supporting the business through its $1 billion acquisition by Uber. My investment portfolio includes consumer success stories like Bonobos (acquired by Walmart), Chubbies (acquired), EVOL Burritos (acquired by Boulder Brands), and LovePop. I’m also a limited partner in TechStars and Background Capital and have led several AngelList syndicates, including OwnUp and BizzyCar. I’ve also made several unsuccessful investments along the way — and I think I've learned even more from those experiences.
