I am a math guy. I regularly advise developers of new AI-based products seeking FDA clearance or approval, providing advice for the development of well over 100 AI-driven technologies in health care. Over the last almost 40 years, I have worked with startups developing nearly every sort of medical technology. We often conduct healthcare regulatory due diligence for private equity and other healthcare investors. An Accredited Investor focused on technology startups affiliated with Big Ten universities, especially Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue. With my sons, we are comfortable with healthcare technology/MedTech, and CPG, including food and agriculture, automotive/mobility, electromechanical systems, artificial intelligence, and digital commerce. Given our novice status, we are focused on organized university angel investing networks. We want to both learn from others and spread the risk by making smaller bets with other investors.
