Boris Portman, Angel Investor

Boris Portman is a seasoned software leader, entrepreneur, and investor who has over 20 years of experience in creating and scaling innovative software ventures. He is the founder and CEO of Salsa Ventures, LLC, investing in high-tech startups and real estate, and BetterEngineer, helping high-growth technology companies build their own distributed software development teams with the best and the brightest product-focused passionate engineers in the world. Boris is also an alumni advisory board member at Carnegie Mellon University's Master of Software Engineering (MSE) Professional Programs. He holds a master's degree in software engineering and business, and a bachelor's degree in computer science, math, and business from CMU. He is a certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and a certified SEI Personal Software Process (PSP) practitioner. He is passionate about software engineering talent and making a difference in the world.
