Ben Self, Angel Investor

I'm an entrepreneur and angel investor located in Lexington, KY. With three other founders, I started West Sixth Brewing, the first brewery in Kentucky to can its beer. As a part of that, I've also become an amateur real-estate developer, founding the Bread Box in Lexington. I serve as a manager to the Bluegrass Angel funds -- starting with Fund 2 (now on Fund 5). I also invest individually in deals, primarily focusing on Kentucky and the surrounding area. I served as Chair of the Kentucky Democratic Party from 2017 to 2020. I previously founded Blue State Digital and grew the company to over 100 employees before leaving that in 2010.
