Automotive Supplier Innovation Program

About Automotive Supplier Innovation Program

The Automotive Supplier Innovation Program (ASIP) is a government funding program that supports automotive suppliers in developing and demonstrating innovative products and processes for the automotive sector. It was introduced in Budget 2015 and provides $100 million over five years, starting in 2015–2016. The program covers up to 50% of eligible costs for activities such as prototype development, process engineering, and product testing. The program aims to help small and medium-sized businesses bring transformative ideas to the marketplace and enhance the competitiveness of the Canadian automotive industry.
