About ArmaVir Partners

ArmaVir Partners LLC (formerly the Ramius Private Investments Group) makes direct equity investments in operating companies and unique assets. We take an active approach and make control or significant minority investments in small-to-mid-sized operating companies. We also look to make minority investments in select high growth private companies. In 2018, ArmaVir Partners spun out of its former parent, Cowen Inc. The group is made up of three investment professionals who have collectively managed and invested over $1 billion at Ramius, with significant investing and operating experience across a range of industries and geographies. The co-founders and managing partners, Lee Chaikin and Jeffrey Libshutz, have been partners for 13 years. ArmaVir Partners is actively seeking new investment opportunities in North America and Western Europe. Typically we look to invest $10-100+ million. We are opportunistic and look to partner with strong managers and like-minded investors. We are generalists, with significant experience in telecommunications, consumer products, industrials, financial services and renewable energy.
