Angel Resource Institute

About Angel Resource Institute

The Angel Resource Institute (ARI) was founded in 2006 as part of the evolution of earlier efforts to encourage and support angel investing by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and leaders of angel groups across the United States. Education Originally named the Angel Capital Education Foundation (ACEF), our organization initially focused on providing education, training, and information on best practices in the field of angel investing. Our first education programs were originally developed under the Power of Angel Investing brand by the Kauffman Foundation. ARI has added three programs to the PAI curriculum in the last few years. Research To validate best practices and bolster our training programs we developed several initiatives to support market surveys and encourage academic research on angel and seed stage investing. Our research efforts include papers on a wide range of topics related to angel investing, along with the HALO report, a comprehensive database of angel investment activity covering the entire United States. Additional information about ARI’s research activities can be found here. Mentoring More recently ARI has recognized that the collaboration between angels and entrepreneurs is as valuable as the funding investors provide. We are expanding our mission to encompass a wide range of post-investment activities including governance and mentoring. Discover more about our newest initiative here.
