About American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Small Business Programs

The City of Arcadia is excited to announce the expansion of the City's Small Business Assistance Program, which consolidates the Small Business Grant Program and Small Business Assistance Program into one streamlined process! The City has expanded business eligibility, combined both programs into a single application, and provided more clarity and detail during the application process to ease the burden on businesses. We are continuing our efforts to assist small businesses with economic recovery, and are hopeful businesses who did not apply into the program will take advantage of the opportunity now. The Arcadia City Council approved the allocation of $1,000,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for the Grant Program and Permit Assistance Program, and funding is still available. The Grant Program has been allocated $750,000 in funding to provide grants of up to $5,000 or $10,000 (depending on qualification criteria) to Arcadia small businesses to complete physical improvements to their place of business, update digital marketing and branding, and other items focused on attracting new customers. Applications are being accepted and approved on an ongoing basis for qualifying businesses, subject to funding availability.
