Amar Varma, Angel Investor

Amar Varma is a Canadian entrepreneur and investor, best known as Co‑Founder and CEO of Mantle, a technology company launched in 2022. He previously co‑founded Autonomic, acquired by Ford, where he served as COO, and helped create the Ford X accelerator to incubate new mobility businesses. He is also a long‑time supporter of the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, serving as a board member and campaign cabinet member for SickKids Foundation, where he has championed the integration of advanced technology into healthcare. As an angel investor, Amar has backed dozens of early‑stage companies, including Uber (pre‑IPO), Cohere, Notion, Epic Games, and The Sandbox. His direct investments include ODAIA, Shopistry (acquired by WP Engine), and Beacon Software, where he participated in the company’s $250M Series B round in 2025.
