Alex Billingsley, Angel Investor

Founder of Mama Earth Organics (Ontario's local food movement - consistently one of the fastest growing companies in Canada for 8 years in a row, 2 exits - one in 2015 and another in 2023). I've also founded (and purchased/grown/invested in/exited) a number of other start-ups and companies. Areas of strength (or at least interest) are allocation of resources, strategy (for tech, customer service, operations/logistics, marketing/branding, culture), and setting/finding leading indicators/metrics for leadership teams. I love growing/scaling financially sustainable/profitable businesses, setting strategies, and building strong teams and cultures. I have been an angel investor since 2013. I built a portfolio of 50+ companies (many through Angelist syndicates). I've invested less over the past few years. Most of these investments have been within local and health food areas.
