About Aleksandra Liaplina, Angel Investor

Experienced impact investor and strategic advisor, mobilizing capital for entrepreneurship, food security, and pioneering projects in emerging markets. Currently leading blended finance initiatives at IFC, managing/leading 8-9 digit single- and multi-donor facilities, structuring investment operations, including but not limited to equity co-investments, guarantees, subordinated debt, risk-sharing facilities, sustainability-linked instruments, and other innovative structures. With 17+ years of experience across private equity, venture capital, financial institutions, direct investments, and infrastructure, I have worked with governments, private sector leaders, and institutional investors across 20+ countries in Europe, Latin America, MENA, and Africa. Previously served as an Advisor to the G20 Finance Track while with the World Bank, contributing to policy and investment strategies to drive economic growth through private capital mobilization. Beyond investment, I am a published author on blended finance, digital development, and development economics, with a deep understanding of regulatory and policy levers for attracting institutional capital. I also founded professional networks and associations focused on investment, blended finance, and entrepreneurship.
