Alberta Innovates drives research and innovation by providing funding, services, and expertise to post-secondary researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry. We provide funding programs, business advice, and connections to stimulate research and innovation across Alberta. We advance innovations that benefit people, protect the environment, and help diversify the economy. Our programs and activities span sectors. They build on Alberta’s strengths in traditional industries and create new opportunities in emerging technology areas. Who We Fund & Support Alberta Innovates offers funding, coaching, and connections to innovators at post-secondary institutions and small, medium, and large enterprises. We also provide a range of supports and services to partner organizations, collaborators, and government. Not everyone might consider themselves an innovator. But innovation can happen anywhere if someone comes up with a new or better way of doing things.
