Ajay Kapoor, Angel Investor

Ajay Kapoor is a serial entrepreneur and award-winning executive known for scaling startups and global brands through brand-led innovation and agile leadership. He thrives in ambiguous environments and consistently delivers growth by solving complex business challenges. At General Motors, Ajay leads Global Performance Driven Marketing, overseeing growth strategy, AI/ML analytics, marketing tech, data operations, privacy, and demand generation. He reports directly to the Global CMO and drives enterprise-wide transformation. His previous roles include senior leadership at Helen of Troy and SharkNinja, where he led disruptive innovation across eCommerce, IoT, and healthtech. Ajay has built and launched new ventures while holding CMO, CDO, and GM responsibilities. As an angel investor, Ajay advises and backs early-stage startups, often at the intersection of technology and consumer behavior. He also co-founded GrowDetroit, and has served as a Founding Trustee of the Awesome Foundation and on the executive team of the Startup Leadership Program.
