Zero Gravity Additive Manufacturing

Raising $180k in revenue to begin development of a radical change to current 3D printing technology.

Current 3D printing technology is still in its infancy with many commercially available systems being just different takes on the same technology. For example, systems using lasers to sinter base materials into a solid model were patented in 1982 and are basically unchanged, despite many weaknesses in the processes that limit the setting in which they can be used.

We have come up with an innovation that enables 3D printing of parts and tools out of metal or polymers which requires little to no post-processing and that will work in any setting, including micro gravity-like space stations and the Moon.

Market Opportunity:
Additive manufacturing is currently estimated to have a market size of over $15 billion dollars and growth is projected over 20% in the coming decades. Morgan Stanley estimates that the global space industry could generate revenue of more than $1 trillion or more by 2040.  Given the low comparative waste of additive manufacturing and ease compared to traditional machining and manufacturing methods, the space industry and additive manufacturing are a perfect fit for each other with astounding market potential.

The Company and Team:
Zero Gravity Additive Manufacturing LLC is a small startup looking to build a better mousetrap, not line the founders’ pockets. Founded by two close friends who met as teenagers stocking shelves at a grocery store in the 1990s and whose parents worked for local government, lumber mills, and charities, hard work and pride in doing the right thing are part of their DNA.

Mark Ziebart- Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Mark’s family were all actual cowboys and ranchers in Eastern Oregon and that sense of pride in hard work done right has carried through his entire working life. Mark’s career path took him through jobs like microchip production before finally landing him in cybersecurity and leadership roles at existing companies. Passionate about technology and innovation, Mark’s fire and drive are as contagious as his sense of humor.

Patrick Williams- Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Son of a millworker turned self-taught machinist, Patrick has worked in management for corporations like UPS and Intel and also spent nearly two decades in law enforcement, the last six of which in a highly technical project management role where he was responsible for inventing and creating specialized surveillance tools for law enforcement surveillance and tactical operations. Patrick is the happiest building and creating and is the first member of his family to earn a college degree. Patrick also has professional and personal experience in 3D printing, machining, welding, soldering, IOT, and about any other type of fabrication you can imagine.
