My name is Ashly, I am a mother of four who lost my home as a child to a fire and recently had a friend whose children nearly lost their lives. This created the realization that I have actually never gone over fire safety, escape routes or plans with my children. I also began to realize that all of their rooms could be easily blocked from either exit door which would create the need to exit through the windows. 

We practiced, my kid's ages range from 12 years to 3 months old. They all had their issues, nervous to try to climb from the window delaying their ability to quickly get out safely, the window getting stuck, the screen bending and not easily coming out, window falling down if not pushed to a certain height for example. That’s when I started thinking of things that would assure that my children could and would be able to get out quickly! 

X-IT is currently in the process of a provisional patent about a month and will be set in place, this device without sharing too much before the provisional is in place is child safe by being choke and cut proof, it will be colored to deter children from being drawn to it as a toy, small enough to fit in a safety box or on a window ledge.  One solid product, no need to assemble, used with either hand, in dark or smoky conditions. 

X-IT invention idea has been searched by patent attorneys and there is no other idea or product out there matching description for manufacturing/use. 

Funding would help supplies, manufacturing and marketing as well to secure utility patent. 

Also have multiple other ideas that will web from this project as well as other safety tools/features.
