Woodchips

 I am looking for funding to start my own full service restaurant in the Des Moines Metro area and depending on how much I secure depends on what I can start with.  The end goal is a full service restaurant called Wood Chips because of the smoked meats and hopefully a would fired pizza oven along with  possible fire pits on the patio in the evenings. Most likely in the Waukee area as they have limited BBQ based locations in that area compared to other areas of town. I would like to be able to have a large patio with possible yard games where family and friends can spend time together.  Full service bar and I like the idea of the garage doors opening up to the patio to enjoy when the weather when it is nice. Menu would be based off of smoke meats every thing from full breakfast menu  to pizzas. Some traditional homestyle dishes such as country fried chicken to pastas and even healthy options like Keto bowls.  I would also offer a catering menu and family style to go menu. The goal of the bar area would be to offer a large selection of Iowa craft beers on tap and a few domestics in bottles if need be. The cocktails would be based also off of offerings from Iowa distilleries. The more funds I raise the more I can do. I would like to have an events room or 2 that we could possibly host receptions and such but again an end goal.

If I am unable to secure funds to do all of the above I am looking for a smaller location to do a more scaled down menu and base more of my sales off of to go menu through online delivery services and catering menu. I would be saving these profits to grow into what I stated previously. 

I have 20 years in the restaurant industry I have been managing restaurants for over 12 years and am very well versed in all aspects of the restaurant from the kitchen and cooking to serving and bartending. I have managed everything from small locations doing 15k a week to those doing 100k a week. Managing staff from 20 or less t over 100+ I have multiple contacts that I have befriended in the craft beer industry in Iowa and have a large knowledge base of beers and cocktails.
