Wiffo Waffle came about as a bread substitute in my health café. I created a vegan gluten free savory waffle to be used for sandwiches as I couldn't find a gluten free bread I would want to use in my café. The response to the waffle was very positive, I was asked if I would sell it wholesale and frozen. So I created three flavours and started selling them out of the café frozen. I took the waffles to the West Coast Woman's Show in October of 2016 and I found people loved the frozen waffle idea but I got a lot of requests for a dry mix, so I took that idea home with me and I created all three flavours into dry mix form and sold them out of my café. People use the dry mix for waffles and for pancakes. I currently have 4 flavours of waffles and I have an online store for people to purchase from locally for the frozen waffles and across Canada and the USA for the dry mix. It has been a slower progression as I am limited on funds to help grow my idea so I am reaching out to see if I can raise funding to take my business to the next level. This product is very versatile and delicious, one of the nicest gluten free products out there in my opinion. I have one customer who recently bought herself six months supply of all four flavours of the dry mix as she is in love with the product and tells all of her celiac friends about it. I am a one person manufacturing company at the moment but would like to grow this business model and get my product out to grocery stores and food suppliers.
