Executive Summary that explains the "Why"

You might ask yourself why? Why is there a need for the VFDAoG? This is a very good question. There are several reasons "Why" the VFDAoG is a need for this are.

  1. To help foster in a new generation of aviators. We as a nation and the world are running short of qualified pilots for not only our nations flight needs, but for the world as well. The VFDAoG will work with aviation clubs and other organizations in the state to help foster this. We see the need in working with a company such as Gulfstream to help familiarize future pilots with G-series Aircrafts. Working with the Armed forces for those recruits that want to become military aviators.

  1. The VFDAoG is more than just flight. We also focus on driving as well. To help young drivers gain more experience behind the wheel of a car on the streets of Georgia. To gain more confidence in driving. We see the need to work with the Ga Department of Transportation to provide a place for virtual driving test for new drivers .

Problem statement or need

The problem of not having a better or more efficient way to train and or entice the next generation of aviator is what also causes the need for the VFDAoG to bring this type of operation to Savannah and the Surrounding area. With Aviation all around the possible location of this company this is a major win for the VFDAoG.

In this area we have the Savannah Hiltonhead International Airport. We have Gulfstream which is a subsidiary of General Dynamics.

There is nothing like the VFDAoG within 100 miles of Savannah, and nothing that could be found in the state through internet searches. So there will be very little to no competition for something like this to be located in Savannah. This would then allow us to become the industry standard in the state of Georgia for Virtual Flight and Driving Simulation.

Proposed Solution

Our solution to this problem/need is to create the first Virtual Flight and Driving simulator academy in the area.

We are proposing building a 20 seat (10 for Flight, 10 for Driving) venue
Each "seat" can be configured for many different aircraft, and when needed can be configured for driving when needed.
The "Seats" will be state of the art, with dark rooms built around them, which can be sealed while in use to help block outside light and sounds, while fitted with cameras for people outside to view the "pilot" inside.

We would be using the Boeing Military edition Flight Simulator Cockpit from Next Level Racing. These would be fitted with the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Flight Stick, Viper TQS Mission pack Throttle control, and TPR Thrustmaster Pendular Rudder. Powered by the Next Computing Edge XT2 Workstation, with Primary view being on a Samsung Odyssey Ark 55in, and the side Monitors being Samsun C49RG9 49in.

Again there is the ability to swap out flight and throttle controls based on aircraft and or switching out to driving controls with steering wheels and such. All of these items will be listed in our startup cost breakdown.

The build above is the primary build for the Simulators. All Items will be included in the startup cost breakdown spreadsheet.

Our Customers

Our customers are everyone. Not only the military and non-military pilots in the area, but those are or have an interest in aviation. Weather it is flying the real deal or hopping in a simulator.

Our customers are teenage kids with a dream/goal to go into the aviation field when they go into college or the military.

Our customers are E-Sports players or people with a competitive side to them. As we would foster in the first of its kind in the state of Georgia, Flight Combat tournaments and grow this new path in E-Sports evolution.

Our Customers are retired pilots that live in the area. Who are wanting to climb in to the cockpit one more time and enjoy the freedom of flying.

The above mentioned and many others are our customers.

Qualifications/Team

My qualifications is that I am a US Navy Veteran, Hold college degrees in Criminal Justice Administration both my Bachelors and Master's degree.  I have over 25 yrs in the Information Technology field. With my knowledge and love for computers and technology I will be a great champion for this business.

Ben Franklin is a lover of Aviation from a crossed the Atlantic. I have known Ben for over 5yrs now and his passion aviation and driving. I feel he will also be a great champion for this venture as well.

Team

As stated it will be a 2 man team with myself and Ben. However as we move forward we would look in to hiring a Front Desk person and possibly open an paid internship for a general IT Tech to help maintain our systems and network.

Startup Cost for the VFDAoG

I have provided a spreadsheet which has all of the cost breakdown of this venture's setup. One of the things we still need to do is lock down a property for this venue. Once we have this locked down it will be in the cost break down.

We would be goaling our self to break even within 3-5yrs. However I think with this type of a business we will be profitable.

Conclusion

I know this is a great idea and for anyone that wants to be on this journey with us is going to enjoy it. We are going to bring a venue to the Savannah area that no one else or can. Let's get this done and watch this become the #1 place to train and enjoy Flight and Driving Simulations in the area.
