Vertek Materials is expanding our low-carbon concrete business from Miami to New York. We use graphene which makes our concrete stronger, dries faster, and can reduce CO2 by reducing the Portland and keeping the strength. We are considering manufacturing at the Hudson Valley iCampus (Pearl River, NY) and a location in upstate near Micron, the largest project in US history worth $100 billion. The pricing of low-carbon concrete is similar to regular concrete, but the elimination of up to 70% CO2 is priceless.
We are looking for strategic investment partners to help us Build Back Better! The head of the team is Major General Paul Kennedy and he has assembled a group of engineers, entrepreneurs, and marketers. We have already completed 30 projects and are moving forward with DASNY as a possible supplier.
In December 2021, Governor Kathy Hochul signed a major bill, known as the Low-Embodied-Carbon Concrete Leadership Act - the LECCLA Law. It directs the state Office of General Services to establish a stakeholder advisory group that will set guidelines for state agencies procuring low-embodied-carbon concrete, also known as LECC. Essentially the Law compels all NY state agencies to purchase LECC materials for all future construction projects.
At present, one of the only US vendors who meets the requirements of LECCLA is Vertek Materials
● Concrete manufacturing is one of the world’s largest (8%) contributors to CO2 emissions.
● Graphene is used as the strengthening agent for concrete and rebar materials, but it’s cost prohibitive to make and therefore not currently being used extensively in concrete manufacturing.
● Vertek Materials has developed a manufacturing process to very inexpensively mass-produce high-quality Graphene. In fact, currently, Vertek is the lowest cost, highest quality producer of few-layer nano platelets in the world.
● Vertek currently has a facility operating in Miami, Florida, we’re already making this product, not speculative.
● Team has created Patented Admixes spanning a spectrum of concrete grades: Higher performing, Greener, Lower Cost concrete for full range of uses
