Operating at the center of government, industry, and technology, Vacmobile makes it possible to obtain, store and transmit certified digital vaccination records and COVID-19 test results all from a smartphone. Through its free mobile app, individuals can manage their vaccination history and share records with third parties for physical access to educational, healthcare, and corporate campuses, and for travel. The secure, SaaS-based platform also enables enterprises to maintain compliance with public health regulations and allows employees, customers, healthcare professionals, students, and teachers to safely return to work and school. Proof of vaccinations is required by law for school and college enrollment, international travel, youth sports and hospital employees, among other use cases
Problem/Solution: Management of immunization records is antiquated. It’s time for a 21st century, globally scalable, digital vaccination records solution that is HIPAA compliant, easy to use and secure. There is no national or global organization that maintains vaccination records.
Products/Services: Vacmobile offers integrated SaaS mobile, enterprise software, and advanced analytics solutions used to obtain, store, and transmit certified digital vaccination records and pandemic health status records. Individuals use the app to manage their vaccination history and compliance. Large scale institutions will license the mobility and enterprise software solutions to receive and share verification of certified digital vaccination records and/or test results as required by law and/or to strengthen and improve the success of their own Covid-compliance measures. Free App, available in June 2021 from Apple App store and Google Play, that allows individuals to safely store digitally their paper Covid-19 vaccination credential. Initially supports COVID-19 vaccination records, but will eventually include storage, transmission and authentication of all immunization records as needed.
Technologies/Special Know-how: Given the founders’ unique experience in federal and state government, regulatory knowledge, and public and private relationships, no other company is offering a product that authenticates vaccination records using multiple patent-pending technologies. On-demand proof of up-to- date vaccination records and COVID-19 health status are communicated through QR codes and/or related technologies. In response to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 mass vaccine national roll-out, Vacmobile has developed VASR-Vaccination Authentication Self-Reporting. Like a FICO score represents the creditworthiness of a person, Vacmobile has developed the VASR scoring method to provide verification that self-reported immunization records are accurate.
Markets: Vacmobile has identified 6 potential markets, and is focusing on three: Education, Global Enterprise, and Travel.
Competition: Apps such as BLOK Pass, Bindle, Healthvana, and IBM Excelsior Pass, have initiated pilots in certain states or countries. With the roll out of the Covid-19 vaccine several travel apps have come onto the market which allow consumers to upload their test results. The Commons Pass, IATA and the Vaccination Credential Initiative are working on solutions, but due to fragmented, paper-based data and electronic medical records (EMR) software and immunization registry interoperability issues, none have created a globally, scalable solution yet.
Regulatory/Compliance Issues: Vacmobile has a national influence network of data security experts consulting on framework and integration including former State Immunization Registry (SIR) and CDC architects and will comply with HIPAA and all applicable state, local and federal regulatory requirements as it relates to security in transit and storage of PHI. Politicization of Covid-19 immunization records and opposition to “vaccine passports” in some States has created a new barrier to entry for tech companies or EMR software relying on immunization registries for verification of patient immunization data. OSHA is now fining businesses for failing to report COVID-19 cases and not putting into place workplace safety processes to track vaccination status and/or COVID-19 test results of employees.
