The " V-Disk" post crash vehicle safety device I patented protects all vehicles against catching on fire after a collision. Over 270 million vehicles on the road and about 8 million manufactured every year are at risk and very little progress have been made to reduce this risk. Although a rare event, when a severe collision happens, hot electrical wires can tear off or electrical systems overload allowing volatile gases, combustible materials and/or sparks to ignite a fire quickly. Estimates from NHTSA show that about 225,000 vehicles catch fire, over 600 persons die, over 1,800 are injured and more than 2 Billion dollars lost on property damages occur every year resulting from accidents on American roads. The V-Disk Vehicle Safety Device, interrupts the electricity from the main battery at the moment of a collision to avoid sparks or electrical overloads that will ignite fires. This device also able to record the direction and the force of the impact for evidence. As a Comment : The first action needed to happen when first responders arrive to this type of accidents, they must cut he battery cables before attending to the victims. I am looking for $340K to test and validate a market ready device in within 10 months and obtain the required certifications for the device. Once validated the possibility for licensing to manufacturers would be open. A bracket and accessories for the easy install on all vehicles would be available.
