Overall, around 50 percent of US consumers now report wellness as a top priority in their day-to-day lives, as consumers intend on spending more on products and services that improve their health, fitness, nutrition, appearance, sleep, and mindfulness. The COVID-19’s pandemic further increased consumer focus on wellness and that looks set to continue.
My name is Raschele Harris, founder of Two Twenty Two, an independent company that offers holistic life coaching and reiki, currently servicing clients from my home. Since I was a child my passion has always been in health and wellness, with a specific focus in holistic health, meditation, and spiritual therapies and techniques. My goal is to evolve Two Twenty Two into a Himalayan salt cave, which after 5+ years of research, I’ve learned provides a unique and calming experience. Halotherapy, or salt therapy, replicates the environment of natural salt mines. The cave is not only relaxing but also has many other benefits. Inhaling the dry salt-enriched air cleans the lungs, promotes better breathing, healthier skin, better sleep, improved physical function and overall wellness.
There are ~17 similar salt cave or salt spa businesses in Massachusetts, most of which are in the eastern part of the state. The closest salt cave locations to Two Twenty Two geographically would be the Scituate Salt Cave in Scituate, MA, and Oceanaire Himalayan Salt Cave in Orleans, MA. Research indicates that the Bridgewater area would be an optimal location as it covers the target market, which is primarily made up of women aged 20-45 who are seeking holistic healing and relaxation benefits and those with an ailment who have not had success with other therapeutic options.
Two Twenty Two will offer competitive pricing and a more centralized, convenient location, with more special offers and packages that can be customized and tailored to the customer. Two Twenty Two will also offer longer sessions for a comparable price to competitors and will promote as such. Of course, menu, hours of operation, and expenses are still TBD, but after looking at competitors and the landscape, I’ve estimated potential net revenue to be ~$100K per month.
