With the second wave of Covid-19 coming, and the climate becoming more unstable daily,
TOWN FLYR (TF) has built a paradigm-shifting local, safe, easy-to-use,
Covid-19 ServSafe Certified, carbon-free and AB5-compliant food marketplace and delivery service, which is generating revenue and 100% focused on exurban towns and makes 8 deliveries/courier/hour.
TF only hires locally, keeps money local, pays a living wage and healthcare for couriers, and only takes 15% from restaurants and grocers vs the 30%+ that UberEats, Doordash and GrubHub extract from communities.
TF only uses electric bicycles and electric cars and charges them using clean energy, thus providing fossil free delivery aligning with California's energy goals and credits.
Our couriers consistently make 8 deliveries per hour vs the 4 that other delivery service providers do, providing 2 times the efficiency and revenue per hour.
TF has done NO promotion yet.
TF has built and tested our TF Beta Platform and service, and been doing deliveries for restaurants and grocers in Fairfax, San Anselmo and Ross, California. There are 3 grocer stores, 52 restaurants, 3 pet food stores and 2 pharmacies which locally serve these towns. We also have plans to delivery for local farms and CSAs.
TF has validated initial consumer demand and restaurant demand.
TF is about to release our updated version of our platform and apps and here's a
video that shows the update. This site refresh will enable customers to order food and delivery through the TF local marketplace, which will automatically feed into the kitchens of the restaurants and the POS systems for the grocers. Our platform also automatically pulls the most recent version of all restaurant menus and populates them into our platform so all menu items and inventory are current.
Now, TF is raising funds to go to market appropriately.
TF's CEO is
Michael Leifer, Founder/CEO of
guerilla PR and TF's CSO is
Steve Granville. They each have 2 successful exits.
Our principal Advisor is
Barbara Hoefle, SVP at UPS/Cisco/TeraData.
20 couriers have been trained and certified to ride and drive for TF.
TF is Partnered with: (1)
Freshop, who have over 4K independent grocery stores and wanting to make introductions across their network; and (2)
Chowly for integration into all restaurant POS systems to send orders from our app directly into the kitchen.
TF roll out plan per market. TF identifies a bike-centered exurban independent grocery store, drops our TF solar powered container in the parking lot, integrates our TF delivery API into the grocery store e-commerce platform, and concurrently TF acquires and integrates the TF app/platform into the 30-50 restaurants serving the local towns.
Post launching the first Geographic Service Area of Fairfax, San Anselmo, Ross, TF will replicate the model throughout all of Marin County and then throughout California exurban towns and then across the US sunbelt.
TF initial Apps are completed and live on iTunes and Google Play.
TF will be launching a
Membership Program in the Fall.
Funding Offered: $1M for 30% equity for 6 months of operations and promotion to dominate the 1st Geographic Service Area.
Growth Funding will be used for: cash flow, promotion/marketing, purchasing of more electric bicycles, restaurant POS integrations, management, tech development and customer service.
