I am a black-female performance artist looking to spread love, abundance, and healing through music and creation. I grew up in an Urban-Suburban community in NY where there was a lack of appreciation for the arts. I found comfort in my school's music and arts programs that allowed me to escape violence and the world's troubles. As I began to pursue a career in entertainment as an adult, I realized there were very few safe environments for women to work on their craft. I want to create an environment for myself and other young women to nurture their artistry while building their business. As an Independent artist you become your own business. Funding will allow me to build a high-quality studio for myself and other local artists to come and work on their craft in a safe environment. The money will provide for the following:
- Recording equipment
- Microphones, amps, soundboards, monitors, noise canceling technology, cables, etc.
- Laptops
- A building to lease
- The construction of a functioning dance studio
- Mirrors
- Hire local dance and musical professionals to educate youth through community outreach
- Business formation
- Merchandise
- Apparel, stickers, and other marketing tools
- Press Packages
- Music Videos & a production team
- Professional audio engineers
- Instruments
- keyboards, guitars, bass, drum sets, clarinet, etc.
- Smart car for advertising and transportation
- Music theory books
- Master classes with working industry professionals
I have worked in the entertainment industry since the age of 8. I have performed at Lincoln Center, The Chicago Theater, Jones Beach Theater, the Barclays Center, and Mets Stadium. I have been on MSNBC, Good Day NY, MSG Varsity, The Today Show, and more. I have worked with artists such as Dream Doll, Chanel West Coast, Kenny Rogers, and Foreigner. While performing has been exciting. Nothing is more fulfilling than getting my personal message out there and helping others along the way.
