The Thelma R. Wright Foundation is a Non-Profit, 501c3. We offer an Empowerment program with workshops for Inner City Youth. Based in South Philadelphia, we have partnered with Tindley Temple Church and other Inner city programs. The Empowerment Program aims to assist at-risk male and female youth to understand that they do make a difference. We provide workshops geared toward Character Development, Self Esteem, Relationship building and critical issues affecting today's youth, including gun Violence, human trafficking and bullying.
Ongoing endeavors of the Thelma R. Wright Foundation include our Annual Toy Drive and our "Feeding the Less Fortunate" (approaching our 8th year) event the week of Thanksgiving. The Foundation's main focus is violence prevention and youth development. Our Program relies solely on donations and my own personal resources. Thus far, I have not been able to secure grants to further the program. For this reason, we are soliciting sponsorships from upstanding and community-minded entities in and around Philadelphia.
