The Witch of Wander Lane is a fantasy/adventure movie that is like Game of Thrones meets The Sopranos. It is a film with supernatural sister-witches who run an underground liquor empire during the prohibition era.
According to the Video Global Market Report, the global film and video market size grew from $267 billion in 2022 to $284 billion in 2023, with a compound annual growth rate of more than 5%.
Our goal is to tap into one of the most popular genres in the film market today: fantasy/adventure. For example, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes had a $100 million dollar budget but has surpassed $300 million in the box office so far. Streaming platforms are currently hungry for new content, and we estimate that with a budget of $300k, we could gross $1 - 3 million dollars on The Witch of Wander Lane.
Zepstone Entertainment (Dr. Alicia Oberle Farmer and John D. Farmer) has won many international awards for making fantasy, family, and horror films. Our last feature-length movie secured theatrical and VOD/streaming distribution. We are very confident in our abilities to create a product within our budget and to produce something that will generate a solid return of investment. Additionally, we are eager to catalyze visibility for the filmmaking industry in Utah while providing jobs to artists in our local community and beyond.
We have learned from past experiences that it is crucial to attach a bankable name to the project in order to achieve return on investment, and our goal is to use our skills to achieve these results. We are currently in the talks with multiple A-listers' agents who require a letter from a financier in order to send offers to their clients. We already have a one non-exclusive distributor waiting to make offers to various outlets upon completion.
