The Willow Barn will provide a fully renovated and updated modern rustic event space consisting of a barn, a pond, a forest and outdoor space. The Willow Barn will also offer event planning and coordination, as well as catering services.
The Willow Barn is led by Roxanne Wightman who has been in the customer service business for over 25 years. She has worked as an event coordinator for weddings and as such Roxanne Wightman has an in-depth knowledge of events and working knowledge of the operation of a venue (e.g., running day-to-day operations) and the business management side (e.g., staffing, marketing, etc.).
The Willow Barn is uniquely qualified to succeed due to the following reasons:
- The Company will fill a specific market niche in the growing community we are entering. In addition, we have surveyed residents, and received extremely positive feedback saying that they explicitly want to hold an event at our venue when launched.
- Our venue is on a farm with easy access from multiple expressways.
- Competitors leave a large gap in the wedding venue market, the spaces are dated, and are not located in an idyllic environment such as we will offer.
According to a report by The Knot, the Wedding Services industry is fragmented, because of the large variety of highly specialized vendors. The market is estimated to grow to nearly $72 billion in three years. This bodes well for The Willow Barn; since there are few dominant competitors, barriers to entry are not as high as many other industries, and a start-up can expect to have success in this growing market. There is plenty of room in the industry, particularly for venues offering trendy and elegant spaces.
