Raise $10,000 to continue to find exhibition sites, take more photos of famous people with our quilts, continue ommunication with the "inside quilters" at Angola Prison.

Non profit, we are fiscally sponosored, and tax registered.   4 of us "outside  quilters". make quilts ,/collaborate , with prisoner quilters  [ "inside quilters"] to make and exhibit social justice-themed quilts. The quilts are gorgeous, powerful, and a new paradigm of encouraging creativity behind bars.  Dynamic, upbeat, in the midst of some difficult  incarceration locations.  US political prisoners and black panthers are members.  we make / collaborate on quilt making, and we photograph famous supporters with our quilts, as in  a descendant of harriet Tubman, a 2x Pulitzer Prize winner,  the dean of columbia Journalism school,  and nephew of James Baldwin.  The Director, maureen kelleher,  is private investigator who helped exonerate 3  men (Curtis Kyles,  John  Thompson, Teddy Chester). off Lousiana Death Row.  co founder is lifer in Angola Prison.  Extremely creative , powerful, and gorgeous quilts, about lynching, John Lewis, Harriet Tubman,     our James Baldwin quilt is featured on the cover of James Baldwin Review, Vol. 8, October 2022.  Unique and moving quilts brought about through unique and committed collaborator / quilters.
