The Promontory Sustainable Futures Academy is a start-up, for-profit, private school model, unique in the world for its university prep focus on applying all learnings and skills to the array of critical contemporary issues embedded within the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Private education is growing rapidly worldwide, with very healthy ROI. We seek to create students who are extraordinarily well-prepared to contribute to solving their community's, and the world's, most significant issues, regardless of future occupation.
We are seeking a little boost in funding as we work to open our first school in August (North Carolina). We hope to expand globally, with 5-6 schools open in the initial 5-year plan. Our ultimate goal is a boarding school where students from around the world can congregate to work together on the critical issues embedded within the SDGs.
At this time we are basically turn-key and can locate schools anywhere in the world so long as classroom/campus space is provided on favorable terms. We have our curriculum plan, our hiring, our training, and even our enrollment support lined up and ready to go.
Founder/Owner, and M.Ed. with 30 years in international education, has invested heavily from personal savings and is enthusiastically determined to partner with those who believe in this educational model.
