The Grill Guardian

Background: 

I have a 35+ year career as a software developer, engineer, entrepreneur and business owner. As a business owner, over a seventeen (17) year period, I developed, marketed, and provided production support and maintenance for the software I designed. Through these years I have honed my skills in creativity, innovation and problem solving. My life outside work has allowed me to enjoy a hobby of serving others through food and my love of cooking has led me to many places and events, typically with a spatula in my hand. 

Project:

I have now applied the same creativity and innovation, perfected in the software engineering space, and I have developed a tool that solves problems in the bbq/grilling space.  Over 50+ years of outdoor cooking I have been frustrated and left disappointed with the grill brushes commercialy available. They genreally do an okay job as a brush, but what about the different bristles, means a different brush, no adaptability to consumer needs. I have also experienced, even with all the different sizes, shapes and lengths of brush handles they still don’t really help with the scraping entirely and always falling short of a truly useful scraper. Something completely lost is how does the cook move the hot and/or greasy grates of the grill? No brush does this, and I have broken many trying to get them to do that. I believe there is a broader problem that can be solved with one tool and allow the cook to truly guard and protect his grill from the elements in a safe and exceedingly helpful manner. With that I have created a revolutionary tool for guarding and protecting the grill from the elements and improve the cooking process. 

The Grill Guardian (TGG) -is a multipurpose grill tool to assist in protecting and maintaining your grill surface’s life.  TGG helps guard your grill from the elements of grime and grit with a brush and scrapers, custom designed for maximum efficiency. TGG is brush agnostic and has adapters for the most popular brushes on the market (metal bristles verse nylon and support for Blackstone griddle pads). This way the consumer needs one brush handle for all cooking surfaces.

TGG provides a unique “grate grabber”. The grate grabber allows movement of the grates without the user “handling” the greasy and/or hot grates. The unique design of TGG gives the chef full control of the grill’s air flow by allowing the grill’s lid to be dampened. 

TGG’s dampening teeth allow the lid to be dampened at different levels, providing control of the air passing through, over, and around the cooking surface.  In the end, The Grill Guardian provides the cook with a durable tool, designed to last for years and allow them to become master guardian of their grilling domain. The Grill Guardian (TGG) (US Patent Pending) has been through R&D, I have created prototypes and tested using all available grills sold at local retail stores (ie ACE, Home Depot and Lowes). 

November 2023 I have formed Papa's Kitchen Cook LC in Georgia, US (PKC). PKC will own the tool. I am now looking to take the next steps for production manufacturing and take on employment through PKC to be 100% dedicated to build, market and distribute TGG.
