The Gate Retreat is an eco-conscious space immersed in the majestic Mojave Desert of Golden Valley, AZ on 40 acres of land with spectacular vistas and views of sunrise and sunsets.  At the Gate Retreat, we will provide a glimpse into ancient living with a modern twist through art, activities and experiences.  Guests have the opportunity to stay in one of our luxury glamping tents or camp sites.  Stay for a night or the length of any number of nights to experience our ever-changing holistic retreats, classes, lectures and workshops.   Located in the Mohave Desert we are minutes from Laughlin, Lake Mohave, Lake Mead, Route 66.  Plenty of things to do from hiking, biking, ATV, Jet skiing, boating or just hanging out at The Gate.

Our mission is to provide a true destination experience where guests have the space to be immersed and relax in the natural wonders of the Mojave Desert in luxury.  We'll provide the space for healing the body and soul while expanding your mind.  Relax, learn, reflect and recharge at The Gate Retreat.

Year one, we plan to build out 15 luxury tents, 20 luxury camp sites, our lodge, a giant outdoor event deck, partially under canvas for activities like; stay gazing, sleep under the full moon, yoga and fitness classes, outdoor movies to name a few...We will have common area fire pits, s'mores, drum circles and story telling around the fire.  We plan for outdoor event space under canvas for small group events, weddings, corporate retreats and special parties.  Year two, we plan to double the luxury tents, add a casual bath house and commercial kitchen where we'll offer classes of all kinds.  Year three, well add a commercial green house, a stand alone cafe and plan to purchase more land to expand into vacation ownership and add additional luxury tents based on growth and demand. 

Start up costs are just over $1M, with $1.5M needed to complete the three year plan.  

The Team:
Our combined experience in life and business has brought us together with our collective passion to create an amazing outdoor luxury glamping experience that keeps our guests coming back just to see and experience what's new each time they visit.  Our combined  expertise  is centered around  Sales, Marketing and Hospitality.  We're all three well traveled and know what outstanding service feels like, we are uniquely qualified to open and run a very successful Glamping/Hospitality Operation. 

Racine Nunez, Operations  - Racine is currently self-employed responsible for Sales and Marketing for Planet H2o, LLC for the last 8 years.  Experience in event management and  crowd containment  for Burning Man.
Christine Kiely, Marketing - Christine is an independent Marketing Executive responsible for Sales of a new Tourist Publication in Las Vegas and has been in Sales, Marketing and Advertising in Las Vegas for over 30years.  BA degree from UNLV Hotelier Program.
Debbie Nunez, Finance - Debbie is currently founder and CEO of Planet H2o, LLC for 8 years.  BA degree from UCLA in Kinesiology, 20 years in Sales and Business Development for Kino's and Fedex Office.  

We are excited about our project and have invested over $100K to this juncture.  We are vested and have  purchased 40 acres in Golden Valley, AZ, for this project we call GateLand.

The company has been established as a Nevada LLC, Back2 Basics, LLC, the property is held under GateLand, LLC.  We plan to operate as a DBA, The Gate Retreat, The Gate Greens, The Gate Spa.  Just to keep it light, our employees will be called Gate Keepers!!
