Darryn Yates started building his personal & entertainer brand in the mid-90s when he moved to Los Angeles from his hometown area of St. Louis. He formed an all-original rock band, On Tracy Lane, that was signed to small record deals, toured the US, opened for several national artists, and flew overseas to play for the US troops. After not getting the big break he was hoping for, he moved to Nashville TN and started a publishing company. Darryn licensed over 15 ASCAP songs to TV, Film, Commercials, etc.
After again not getting a big break, he moved back home to the St. Louis area, met a girl, started a family, and got into radio doing The Darryn Yates Show. Darryn landed a morning-drive radio show on CBS Sports and went on to do a local TV show. He then ran an online radio station, but with a growing family and the revenue being inconsistent, he entered the corporate world. Darryn hated the concept of being told what he was worth. The idea of giving up on his real dreams started eating away at him. He butted heads with most of his bosses and was fired 10-12 times.
On March 7, 2019...Darryn was fired again, this time from a corporate recruiting job. This was a job he had promised his wife Crystal he would keep. They needed this job for the supplemental insurance as Darryn had a bulging disc hitting his sciatic nerve and desperately needed surgery. Plus, Crystal was pregnant with kid #3 (Zayden, born in April 2019) and they needed help with the upcoming baby bills. Ashamed & embarrassed, Darryn pretended to leave for work in the mornings for about a week and hid in a parking lot. He was depressed & borderline suicidal as he brought his home-protection gun with him to the parking lot.
Darryn realized that he had hit a rock bottom spot. He could barely walk with back pain, he didn't get a break in the music, radio, or TV...and he wasn't able to find his place with a regular job either. He ultimately had 2 choices: stay on a dark path and who knows what would happen or bounce back and fucking crush it and capture everything he was told or thought he couldn't have. Darryn chose the latter and started researching, grinding, and soul-searching in a way he had never done before. The fire, passion, and determination were not only back, but it was more intense & more powerful than he ever realized was possible.
Darryn stopped listening to his cynical family & friends and studied self-made millionaires like Russel Brunson, Tom Bilyeu, Grant Cardone, etc. and he realized that those guys had been through similar setbacks, but they found a way to make their dreams and vision happen. He knew he could do it too. Darryn transformed his mindset & belief system. This time around he wasn't going to wait for a break, he was going to create one himself. Within 6 months, Darryn started sharing his real story of overcoming serious adversity and started a 1-on-1 local life coaching & mentorship business. Although there wasn't much organization, he saw the power in his message. He could have easily worked it to a 6-figure a year business, but with the drive and chip on his shoulder growing every day, he knew he was capable of making 6 figures a month, at least.
Darryn eventually started transitioning out of local 1-on-1 coaching to work on scaling a coaching program online. He started posting on social media daily and continued to build his brand. People started seeing his past experience in music, radio, and TV, but now he had a powerful message to add to his entertainer brand. Darryn has brought his show back as he is releasing videos on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, etc. People are really responding to his unique blend of Mindset & Mayhem as he calls it. He is a hybrid of Gary Vaynerchuck, Howard Stern, Joe Rogan, and Jimmy Kimmel.
For the past 6 months, Darryn has been researching how he can make a huge splash that only his type of brand could make! He wants to launch his online coaching program in a way that is in line with his edgy and rebellious attitude that is inspiring more every day. However, he has built his brand to a point where what he needs and what his vision requires....is not cheap. Plus, with him not doing any more 1-on-1 coaching, he and his wife have given up the good to go for the great. Darryn's wife has a good corporate job to keep the family afloat for now, but she also sees a strong possibility that she will be able to retire sooner than later due to Darryn's determination, drive, and absolutely relentless vision.

*With a huge over-the-top marketing campaign with a sales team, possibly a public relations campaign as well...release the online group coaching program starting at a price point of $1-2k (he has set everything up to launch but he hasn't yet. Darryn's been focused on building his brand, his show, and his message! Darryn realizes a huge brand can sell anything and when in doubt, he's just kept building the brand!)
*Dive into the paid ad game to find his audience around the world (the way he is building his online presence, it's just a matter of getting eyes on what he's doing!)
*Monetize The Darryn Yates Show on YouTube, TikTok, sponsors, advertisers, brand/influencer deals, events, etc.
*Record new On Tracy Lane music and release it once his coaching program is rolling and his audience is at a certain #!
*Launch a merchandise site that contains products from his mindset & coaching division, of course, all the crazy cool options with his show as he has cohosts named Mike the Ex-Con, Jugs Judy, Nadia (a 6-foot Russian model type), and Sir Arthur. (Arthur is so weird that once Howard Stern hears about him, he will probably try and steal him!)
*Once all this is rolling or perhaps before...pitch Darryn's story to NetFlix and other movie producers to get a movie made or TV series or documentary or something along those lines.
Darryn recently watched Kanye West's trilogy on Netflix and Darryn basically wants to create an entertainment empire with a personal development twist. Darryn feels his empire can eventually become bigger than Kanye's as Darryn is not only a nicer guy, but Darryn pushes the personal development angle and wants to help millions. Not to mention entertaining millions with his music and crazy fun entertainment variety show. Darryn feels he could be a potential replacement for Stern or Kimmel someday.
Darryn lives with his wife and 3 kids in Maryville, IL, about 20 mins. from St. Louis MO. Darryn hates to put a # on this as there are so many variables, plus depending on who hops onboard....but Darryn feels he can get everything going with $50-100k and will grind 24/7 to make sure that turns into millions of dollars.
This initial investment will help with getting this coaching program to create revenue at a high & consistent level. Darryn was able to monetize his 1-on-1 coaching business fairly quickly, so he knows doing it and being able to scale it online is not only possible but probable. Of course, this can change and the vision could become even bigger, but right now the vision is for the funds to focus on:
