My name is Alex Lefebvre, I am 22 years old and recently stopped attending Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada to focus on developing this app and start shaping my future. I have been part of the sports betting community for just about four years now and I have seen so many issues with the way the community is brought together. Online, there is no where that is just sports gamblers in an environment curated to what sports bettors love and need. My solution is
Playbook. A place where sports bettors are part of a tight nit community online and have all the tools to communicate, share and learn together. The global gambling market keeps growing, it's time to give the gamblers a secluded place in social media and work together to make everyone a better, more responsible and more advantaged gambler.
Playbook is a new social network and marketplace for sports bettors and gamblers. With the consistently growing sports betting market, no apps, other than the sports books are directed directly at the sports betting community. I am a sports bettor, I share my betting picks with my friends everyday. The method that I use and many others do as well is so tedious, slow and difficult to do time and time again. This app will solve this issue. Allowing friends to share bets live on the app with one another whilst being able to see the rest of the communities bets, thoughts and trends. In addition to the social feature, the marketplace is a concept that will prove to be useful for all sports bettors. Right now, people are buying betting picks on the internet from different sources and are being found through different social media platforms. This app will condense this giant market of pick-selling and bring it in to the same place a person will get all their gambling news and content and where they chat and share picks with their friends. Playbook is a one-stop shop for sport bettors. Together we can finally help the players gain advantages over the casino.
I am currently in very early stages of this venture. In order to get the ball rolling, I need at least $75,000 for the development of the website, the app and brand exposure. I have already lined up developers to create version 0 and started my search for assistance in brand exposure in turn allowing me to see pricing and a clear outline moving forward. This is a project I truly believe in and I am ready to actualize my vision.
