Raising 300k to boost my business, contribute to development, and change people lives

I’m Isac Moyaby Sylla, university student and entrepreneur . I started a transport company (Taxis) a year ago to respond to the high demand and the need of common transport car in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire). The company is doing well and is already profitable. We are now looking for more financing to boost our growth especially since this market is booming.

With our company we will try to respond the need of cars which is continuing growing and modernize the sector.

THE PROBLEM:   Côte d'Ivoire today has experienced rampant economic growth over the last 10 years. This growth was not only economic but it was also demographic. Indeed, the population of the Ivorian capital (Abidjan) has almost doubled in recent years. The transport sector has not followed this evolution of the population. Today, the number of taxis in Abidjan is very far from meeting demand. It would take tens of thousands of taxis to meet demand and alleviate the need. Our company quickly saw this opportunity and we expect to be able to solve this problem.

THE SOLUTION: We will invest the 300k in the purchase of about twenty modern vehicles that meet the standards of taxis in Côte d'Ivoire. Make partnerships with companies such as uber, heetch, Yango that are already present and operate in the field. We intend to have a computer system for the monitoring of our cars. With these solutions we will very quickly make profitable and double the number of taxis in less than 2 years.

HOW WE WILL MAKE MONEY: With the purchase of our 20 vehicles, we plan to drive cars 7/7 days with trained drivers who care about the well-being of customers. To make a simple calculation, a car earns us about $45 a day. The 20 cars in total will make us generate a total of about $900 per day. In a month we will have $27,000. Expenses, taxes and salaries account for about 20% of our total monthly income.

We will not need to put a customer loyalty plan for the first 5 years because there is a real need for quality transport vehicles in Abidjan. We will be able to have good visibility just with our new cars and professional drivers.

COMPETITORS: In this area in Abidjan, there are no real competitors at the moment. Everyone has their place. Even with public transport, the state is trying to improve the need for modern taxis is increasingly being felt with the Abidjan middle-class boom.

PROJECTION: We plan to make a turnover of more than $600,000 in the first two years and then increase the number of our vehicles. After 5 years we will make a turnover of nearly $5,000,000.

We want to contribute to the development of this country and also place it among the best passenger transport companies. We will breathe new life into this sector of activity, which is one of the most important in Côte d'Ivoire.
