We provide historical tours in Sierra County, NM. We provide on road tours in a shuttle bus and off road tours in SXS.
Truth or Consequences has always been a tourist town due to our mineral rich hot springs. Native Americans called this tow, a place of peace and a place to soak and heal. This area also was a place rich with gold and silver. There are many historic Ghost towns and abandoned mines. There are also historic museums to preserve the history of this area. We have the Gila National Forest to the west and the Cibola National forest to the North. Also we are surrounded by BLM (public lands preserved by the bureau of land management for recreational use).
Our Off-Road Tours: We will provide guided tours to remote areas using Polaris Ranger 1000 xp crew SxS's. This experience will include history, science, conservation and clean up efforts and trail maintenance lessons. Over all we want to preserve our rich history while teaching others the importance of treading lightly. Safety is a key feature for us we provide helmets for our riders. We check the trails frequently for any need of repair. Our SXS's are maintained for cleanliness, comfort, and safety. We have upgraded our SxS's with heat, windshields and wipers, canvas enclosures, turn signals, mirrors, and horns. We carry repair equipment and survival supplies in case of emergency. We are equipped with satellite communication on each SxS to call for emergency services while providing an accurate latitude and longitude for emergency crews to find us.
Our services are comparable to other off road guided tours backed by Polaris Adventures. Since T or C is a small town and we were building this on our own we are starting with the ability to seat 8 adult guests. (2 SxS vehicles).
Our On-Road Tours: We have a 14 passenger Shuttle bus that we use to take guests from T or C to the national forest trailheads. We decided that to get the best use out of this bus we will also provide On-Road tours. We are still in the planning phase for these tours, but the ideas we have would be to take guests to the active preserved ghost towns, museums and shops in Sierra County. Sierra county offers some great winery's we are hoping to incorporate a wine tour in the near future. We also have discovered that there are tourists who come for the springs but do not know where to find local restaurants and shops. We want to provide a service showing people the 3 local towns and the amenities available here. It is our hope that this will boost local businesses. Our bus will provide a place for our local businesses to advertise as well. We have received positive feedback from our community about the mutual benefit that we can be to one another by offering this service.
