Strive Dance Academy Society

For 15 years, Strive Dance Academy Society has offered the highest quality competitive dance education in Central Alberta, rivalling dance programs in larger cities. Our dance education framework focuses on dance excellence, citizenship, leadership and health and wellness. As with many child and youth recreational organizations, we have struggled to maintain and grow our enrollment since the pandemic. We are conscious of the mental health and wellness issues facing this generation of youth and would like to ensure that we remain a viable option for families in Central Alberta for many years to come. We subsidize our member registration fees with additional funding from donors and sponsors to ensure our programs remain financially accessible to local families. Our sustainability plans also include the restructuring of our board, the implementation of a new governance model, a lifespan approach to dance excellence, increased non-competitive programs to complement our competitive dance instruction and creating programs for unserved markets such as seniors.
