Still Moon Ranch is the first of it's kind Glamping Site with views of the spectacular Major Lunar Standstill at Chimney Rock, a worldwide astronomical event that occurs once every 18.6 years, and brings in international tourism for up to 4 years as astronomers and other avid skywatchers seek to experience this phenomena.  

Chimney Rock National Monument is a 1000 year old observatory that is credited with creating an agricultural calendar that is still in use today. With views of Chimney Rock, we will be providing a one of a kind Educational Hospitality wilderness experience, providing educational information, tours, programs and site seeing, and astronomical viewing as well as other recreational activities such as fishing, hunting, cross country skiing and horseback riding.  

Each $500/night site will have it's own smart glass pyramid that allows for crystal clear sky viewing from bed or, with the touch of a button, goes opaque to have complete privacy. Attached to each pyramid will be a private bathroom with shower and a private outside viewing area with a fire pit and hot tub. 

A 2 bedroom 2 bath lodge with hot tub is already waiting to be used on the property, which has water and fishing rights, is large enough to hunt game, and views to enjoy for cross country skiing and horseback riding. 

Educational programs will include the Major Lunar Standstill, craftmaking, astronomical programs, children's educational programs, and discussions about the rich history of the area. 

The mission of this property is protection and education, while providing a comfortable and private experience for our guests as they witness spectacular astronomical events.
