StewardTech has developed and patented a unique, long-cycle turbine that has the potential to revolutionize all of transportation, as well as large swaths of energy production, easily scaling to fit demands of all sizes.  It creates a truly greener solution through enhanced efficiency, simplicity of manufacture and greater durability. This is a real solution in the here and now, rather than some pipe dream with no basis in reality. The StewardTech turbine is unique,  long duty cycle turbine that utilizes recursive energy extraction. When used as an engine, this design keeps the working fluid in the turbine until it extracts the maximum energy from it, making the turbine higher in both efficiency and energy density.  Since this is a long cycle turbine, it also allows more complete combustion, reducing both waste and pollutants. 

 

The patented StewardTech turbine is a centrifugal turbine that uses aerodynamic forces rather than simple obstruction to convert the energy of a moving fluid to power. 

 
If we were to try to categorize the initial customer base into groups, they would likely fall into five main categories: 

⮚     Vehicle Manufacturers of Piston Engines of all sizes

⮚     Vehicle Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)

⮚     Aftermarket Consumers

⮚     Power Grid Consumers

⮚     Power Generation Facilities

For current manufacturers of Otto Cycle engines, the StewardTech turbine represents a measurable reduction in manufacturing costs due to its relative simplicity, both in design and construction, and marked reduction in number of moving parts. These engines can vary in size and function from Semi Trucks, Ships and Locomotives to Lawn Mowers and Chainsaws. The expected increase in lifespan also makes the turbine an attractive alternative to this customer. These same attributes also create a cost-effective option for Vehicle OEMs. Particularly appealing to this group will be the higher fuel efficiency and lower emissions of the turbine as it will help to avert fines associated with CAFE penalties. It also presents a consumer option of working within existing infrastructure (gas stations and propane distribution centers) and does not come with concerns of limited availability of refueling resources, rolling power outages or brownouts as in the case with fully electric vehicles. 

For Aftermarket Consumers, replacing an engine can often be unreasonably expensive. The StewardTech turbine presents an economical solution to extending the lifespan of a failing vehicle. This also presents a very attractive option to modify a functional vehicle for higher efficiency, lower emissions and/or more power.

Consumers, whether currently on the power grid or not, could find an additional source of power using the StewardTech turbine in wind applications. It is also possible to combine the turbine with solar panels in a way that the wind turbine will actually cool the solar panels as they function to generate power.

Power plants may also find the StewardTech turbine an attractive alternative to existing turbine systems due to its higher energy density and compact size. This option is particularly viable in areas where the number of power plants cannot be increased, because it creates the opportunity to generate more power in the space already being occupied. This turbine could likely be successful in harnessing tidal energy as well.

Our basic business model will be to license the technology once we have successfully tested a commercially viable prototype. The research, development and prototype creation done in the Phase I timeline is absolutely essential to the commercialization effort. The market for this engine will have to be developed more fully in Phases II and III through creation of a representative sample of turbines. The purpose of doing so will be to demonstrate to potential customers the ease with which they can manufacture The StewardTech turbine, for use in any application, on any scale. By licensing the technology, instead of manufacturing it ourselves, we remove the need for large capital expenditures and ensure that the manufacturing of the turbines is entrusted to the people that are most equipped to do so.
