The purpose of the StatusOne Dating Application was conceived in 2018 by Taijuan Gales. It will be the first dating application of its kind that will allow the user to add/upload their sexual health status, COVID status or any other health related statuses that they would like to inform their potential partners of.
As the creator of StatusOne, I’ve been on many dating sites. From Face Book dating, to Bumble, to Match, to Tinder. I have not found one dating site that has this feature.
The primary purpose of these features is to keep everyone abreast of one another’s sexual health to some degree. With a lengthy “opt in” option and tons of security features built in; this will be the next brightest idea since the addition of the “relationship status” feature to Facebook.
With STD rates at an all-time high, its’s time that start to address this issue head on. There is no comfortable way to ask nor comfortable time to ask someone about their sexual health status. In fact, the topic can and still is very taboo, even though we will in an age of dating websites.
The purpose of the application is not to exclude anyone but to include all. For example, if a user has HPV, they can search for partners that have HPV. What this does is created a safe space for people that have STDs to dating and find love. Having an STD is not the end of the world. There are plenty of treatments on the market for STDs. Someone else that has an STD will understand this. It’s time for us to start having more adult conversations and taking control of the shape of our world in terms of sexual health and responsibility.
As stated before, there will be a lengthy contractual obligation for each user that decides to use the StatusOne Dating Application. There will be huge repercussions for individuals that falsify information that is uploaded to the StatusOne Dating Application. The “opt in” will be a legally binding document, meaning, the terms the user agrees to can and will be used against them in court which can and will include banning from the application, fines/penalties and possibly jail time. Here at StatusOne, we have taken our customer time, information and most of all trust when constructing these outlines. Our number one goal here at StatusOne is the protection of its clients and their information. We will not compromise the integrity of our name or product for anything. We want our customers of have and share in a safe and mutually respectful environment and we do all we can to protect their trust.
Target Audience:
The target audience for the StatusOne Dating Application is everyone over the age of 18 with a mobile device. Younger ages can be considered with parental agreement.
Market Competition:
There are tons of dating applications on the market. Some are free but most have a cost associated with the user of the application in some way shape or form. For instance, Face Book dating is free of charge long as you have a Face Book account. Match and eHarmony offer subscription-based model. Then you have those in between and charge for “swipes” and points for additional features. StatusOne will be a subscription-based model application. The StatusOne Application will come in at a price point of $9.99 per month, $25.99 for 3 months, $49.99 for six months and $99.99 for a year subscription. The StatusOne Application will be free to new users for the first 14 days as a trial -run. The user will be billed at their desired subscription model on day 15.

StatusOne Notes:
Once all the basics for the application are layed out, here’s the fun part.
The next phase of the application is optional and totally controlled by the user.
On the next screen, the user will be asked if they would like to participate in the StatusOne sexual health portion of the application.
This is a Yes or No prompt.
If yes, the application will move forward to StatusOne Agreement screen. This will take some time to read, and the user will want to read it all. If the user agrees, they will “opt in”. Once they “opt in”, they will be at the full version of the application.
From the payment page, they will be sent over to their dashboard. This is where the money is. Once they connect to their dashboard, there will be a few sexual health questions:
Good afternoon Taijuan, Welcome to your StatusOne Dashboard. Please answer the following questions:
- What is your current sexual health status? (type box i.e. My latest test status is clear.)
- When was your last STD testing? (date model 4/25/2024)
I would like to have a part of the application where the user can upload the results of their testing.
Before they click submit to upload, the original StatusOne Agreement they “opt-ed in” to will appear again or a variation there of. They will agree or disagree and submit.
Once the picture of the results is uploaded, the upload will stay until the next testing/upload.
I would like to have a feature where there is no screenshotting allowed in the app. Just another layer of security for our users. The user can elect to show the other person or send the results.
Another feature for the StatusOne Application once on your portal is that the user and select the kind of profiles they want to see i.e. CLEAR, HPV, HERPES, HIV, etc.
I would also like a GSP feature built in that will locate STD testing centers.
