My name is Randy Bell, a military veteran, and Director of STARRUS Foundation, Inc. We are located in Montgomery, Alabama. I am writing to humbly request your support and consideration for our project aimed at providing clean safe water and sanitation solutions for all. Our first project will start with the community of Kitui, Kenya.
Our mission is deeply personal and inspired by my wife, who hails from Kitui, Kenya where approximately 100,000 people are facing a critical lack of clean drinking water. The water scarcity in this region affects not only women, children, and fathers but also schools and the overall well-being of the community.
After thorough research and testing, we have successfully identified a reliable water source on my wife's land. We have already invested considerable resources into the project, including drilling a well to a depth of 610 feet, yielding an impressive daily production capacity of 10,000 liters of clean water.
Now, we are seeking assistance to install a state-of-the-art AQtap water ATM machine that will enable 24/7 access to clean filtered drinking water for the community. The total cost of the project is estimated at $500,000, which includes site work, setup fees, water ATM machine installation, pumps, solar panels, and the construction of a small plaza to house the access point.
Our goal is to foster sustainable access to clean safe water and sanitation solutions for all, and we firmly believe that this project will have a profound impact on the lives of the people of Kitui, Kenya, significantly improving their health, education, and overall quality of life.
